Why should you become an organ donor? In the U.S. from a recent report:

Over 2,420,000 in 2006. Around 40% of these are sudden. So 2,600 Americans woke up yesterday expecting to live for a long time to come. And today they passed away. Were they an organ donor? Source: itsmywill.com.

In 2010, the number is up to 2.43 million.  40% unexpected (or more).

So let’s look at organ donor statistics.

So look at the deaths in the U.S. then look at the organ donors. Where are all of the organ donors? There are about 115,000 people waiting on an organ today. Out of over 720,000 people that will pass away this year from sudden deaths.
